Blackbird Cultur Lab residency served as a “drawing lab” in which we refined our processes and drawing scores, exploring how each drawing functioned as an opening into synthesis with one another, and how this synthesis shifted and transformed through each meeting. Our collaborative line-making was conversational, movement-responsive, and focused on sense-making. This collaboration uniquely investigated the “pleasure of drawing”—a profound engagement with the creative process that transcended mere representation.
